I teach JavaScript the way I wish I had learned it

Helping beginners become confident JavaScript developers is what I do best.

How I started

I'm Hani Zaher. I wrote my first JavaScript in a school computer lab and never looked back. After years as a front-end developer I started teaching evening classes, and soon realised that explaining code clearly is my favourite part of the job.

How I teach

Plain language

I explain complex ideas in plain language, with examples you can relate to.

No question too basic

No question is too basic. Every student learns at a different speed, and that is fine.

Twelve years of real projects

Twelve years of professional JavaScript, from small websites to large web apps.

Away from the keyboard

Outside of code I cycle along the Gulf Road at weekends and I am a parent of two curious kids, who are my toughest students. I believe learning should be practical, playful and a little bit challenging.

Every lesson in this course comes from real questions my students have asked over the years.

Why I keep teaching

Teaching is not something I do on the side. It is who I am. I keep the course up to date with every new version of the language, answer questions in the community every week and review student projects personally.

Whether you want to change careers or simply understand the web better, I am here to help you get there.
