A family house in the heart of old Amman
Built in the 1920s from pale Amman limestone, the house kept its original staircase, painted floor tiles and tall windows through a century of family life. Today every room has modern comforts, and the cafés, galleries and bakeries of Jabal Al Weibdeh, Rainbow Street and downtown are all within walking distance.
About Salma
From weekend visits to running the house.
Salma trained as an architect and worked in Dubai for ten years before coming home to restore her grandmother's house. She still sketches every guest a map of the neighbourhood, and her breakfast recipes come from her grandmother's notebook.
