Red Earth, the new series
Six large canvases, finished this autumn
Red Earth grew out of walks along the coast south of Beirut at dusk, when the soil, the sea and the sky all turn the same burnt orange. The canvases are built from thick oil, palette-knife strokes and layers of acrylic glaze.

Biography
Colour first, then everything else
I grew up in Beirut surrounded by colour, sketching on every scrap of paper I could find. After studying fine art and printmaking I spent years experimenting with texture and layering until I found a language of my own.
Today I paint in a light-filled studio in Gemmayzeh, making abstract pieces that invite you to feel rather than simply look.
