About us

Who we are

We are a team of social workers, teachers and volunteers who believe that the right help at the right moment can change the course of a young life.

Jeel Al Ghad began in 2006 as a homework club in a Sharjah community hall. As more young people arrived needing food, a safe bed or a way back into school, the club grew into a registered charity.

Today we run six shelter homes, two evening schools and a low-cost canteen, and our helpline answers calls from across the Emirates every day of the week.

Our approach

Our mission

Support for every young person, when they need it

Whether it is a reassuring conversation, financial help, education, professional training, or simply the assurance that they are not alone, we make sure everyone gets support that meets them where they are, as quickly as possible.

Our vision

A world where no child or youth feels alone

We want every young person who is struggling to feel able to reach out, and to find people ready to help with school, work and everything in between, in every emirate.
