About our school

Our story

Founded in 1987 in Al Jubeiha, Madrasat Al Awail has grown from a primary school of 60 pupils into a full school for grades 1 to 12. We remain committed to a rigorous education that prepares students for university and for a life of service to their community. From reading and science to music and art, each day here is full of activities that are both demanding and enjoyable.

We owe a great deal to our teachers and staff, to our alumni and to a parent council that is closely involved in school life, from reading weeks to charity drives.

Every day at Madrasat Al Awail I am grateful for our curious students and our talented, dedicated staff.

Our mission

Our mission is to develop the abilities of every student through a broad, bilingual education. We aim for excellence through hands-on learning, and we raise caring, curious young people who are proud of their heritage and ready for the world.

Our values

Respect, honesty and responsibility guide everything we do. We encourage students to think creatively, work hard and serve others.

Our approach

We put the student at the centre: lessons build on curiosity, teachers know each child by name, and parents receive regular, honest feedback on progress.
