About Salim Dawood
Salim Dawood is an award-winning novelist and poet. He grew up in Aqaba, worked as a teacher and a journalist, and published his first novel, Northern Lights (2017), at the age of forty.
His stories follow ordinary people at turning points in their lives. Readers praise his warm characters, his sense of place and endings that stay with them long after the last page.
Today he writes from a stone house in Fuheis, runs creative writing workshops in Amman and travels for readings and signings across Jordan and the region.
