Our guest room had become a storage room. Over one weekend we turned it back.
Saturday: clear and clean
Everything came out. We donated a third of it and found proper homes for the rest.
Sunday: make it welcoming
Fresh bedding, a bedside lamp, a small tray with water and towels, and hooks behind the door for clothes.
What it cost
Less than a night in a hotel, and our guests now ask to stay longer.
