How investment is changing Saudi sport

The privatisation of clubs and the growth of new leagues have brought record investment into Saudi sport. Most headlines are about players, but the bigger opportunity may be for the companies around them.

Clubs now need ticketing systems, fan data, catering, security, kit logistics and professional finance teams. Venues hosting international events need facility management and hospitality that meet global standards.

For mid-sized Saudi suppliers, this is a chance to grow, but contracts come with strict requirements: audited accounts, clear service levels and the ability to scale quickly for match days.

Companies that prepare now, by tidying their finances, documenting their processes and building references, will be first in line when the next tenders open.
